One of the toughest decisions an MBA applicant makes is this. "Where should I apply?"Yes, you can start with the research. Website. Admissions Events. Or better, visit the campus. Here's my favorite tip. Check out the videos about the program. There are so many posted by the school, students, alums, et al. You will get a solid sense of where, what and with whom you will be studying. In fact, it becomes a great visualization and manifestation tool, if you ask me. 🎬You can imagine yourself sitting in that U-shaped classroom listening and soaking in all that information. 🎬Or meeting with 5 other people from different countries, backgrounds and cultures on another continent to plan a PE conference. 🎬Or choreograph your dance or National Week. Often in the rush for a good ROI and better career outcomes, we forget that the student experience is what that makes it worth it. Not getting accepted to an MBA program of your choice can be disheartening, but we always encourage candidates to use any business school rejection as an opportunity to learn and grow. Taking time to reflect upon your application(s) is an invaluable exercise if you are planning to reapply to the same schools in a following year. Most international applicants will not visit the Campus – because of visa restrictions, costs, and other scheduling reasons. But if you are from the US or can afford to take time off and travel during the summer, I would recommend that you do so. On-Campus School info sessions are typically conducted between June and August.
