Sierra’s Race

Sierra’s Race Against Meningitis will take place at 8-10 a.m. Saturday, June 15, at Foundations Church, 1380 N. Denver Ave.

Francesca Testa, a meningitis survivor, will share her story and there will be a free vaccination clinic.

The 5K benefit run/walk raises funds for meningitis vaccinations and education.

Preregistration cost is $30; $10 more on race day. Registration takes place at 6:30-7:45 a.m.

A Kids Fun Run at 9 a.m. is $10.

Pride Day

Rainbow Collective Loveland will present Loveland Pride 2024 at noon-5 p.m. Saturday, June 15, at Civic Center Park, 500 E. Third St.

This year’s Pride event is focused on mental health resources, community and art.

‘Peter & Wendy’

Missoula Children’s Theatre will perform “Peter & Wendy” at 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Saturday, June 15, at the Rialto Theater Center, 228 E. Fourth St.

Join Peter, Wendy, Captain Hook and more for a fanciful flight to Neverland and back with the Missoula Children’s Theatre and more than 50 local students.

Gearhead Car Show

The Gearhead Society Colorado Car Show will take place at noon-6 p.m. Saturday, June 15, at the First National Bank Exhibition Hall at The Ranch, 5280 Arena Circle.

Running For Hope 5K

The Running For Hope 5K will take place at 8:30 a.m.-noon Saturday, June 15, at the High Plains Environmental Center trails, 2915 Rocky Mountain Ave.

The run/walk is a benefit for Hope Lives, which helps people with breast cancer.

LHS Class of ‘74

The Loveland High School Class of 1974 is preparing for its 50th reunion on Aug. 16-17.

The reunion will include a cash bar mixer at 5:30-10:30 p.m. Aug. 16 at Sports Station, a tour of Loveland High School at 2 p.m. Aug. 17 and a picnic social at 3-9 p.m. Aug. 17 at North Lake Park, Shelter 3.

Events are $15 per person, and RSVP is requested by Aug. 1.

Milner-Schwarz Tours

Guided tours will be offered during the summer at Milner-Schwarz House, the historic farmhouse located at the old fairgrounds in Loveland at 710 S. Railroad Ave.

Tours take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sundays, June 9, June 23, July 14, July 28, Aug. 11, Sept. 8 and Sept 22.

Tours also will be offered Saturday, Aug. 25, during the Corn Roast Festival.

The June 23 event will include a Crafters Day, and July 14 will include a 150th anniversary celebration.

Art Quilts Show

The 40th annual New Legacies: Contemporary Art Quilts show will open with a reception at 4-6 p.m. Saturday, June 15, at the Lincoln Center, 417 W. Magnolia.

An awards presentation will be at 5 p.m.

The juried exhibition features the current work of the finest national and international contemporary quilt artists. Art quilts accepted for exhibition exemplify innovation in quilting and surface design techniques as well as excellence in artistic composition and craftsmanship, with a goal to recognize the world’s finest contemporary quilt artists and to advance the art form.

‘Raising the Sparks’

Front Range Classical Ballet Academy will present “Raising the Sparks” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 15, at the Lincoln Center, 417 W. Magnolia St.

Pride Picnic

Celebrate Pride Month at the Pride Picnic at 4-6 p.m. Saturday, June 15 at Ross Natural Area and Rolland Moore Park, 2201 S. Shields St.

History Presentation

The Greeley Historic Preservation Commission ​w​ill offer a ​history presentation at noon Thursday, June 13, at the Greeley History Museum, 714 Eighth St.

Aaron Zimola, a Greeley ​r​esidentand expert on George Fisk, will present “The Story of the Stradivarius of the West.” with a historical talk and a violin performance.

The story follows the life of George W. Fisk, one of the most renowned violin makers of the late 19th century.

Zimola and accompanist Peter Romero will also play popular American and European music.​ Zimolawill play a German-made 1906 violin, an 1878 Fisk violin before Fisk had a proper violin pattern, and a 1908 Fisk once owned by Colorado Gov. Benjamin Eaton.

The ​freepresentation is open to everyone​; no reservations are needed.

John Blake Photos

The Tointon Gallery of Fine Art will feature the work of Greeley photojournalist John Blake in an exhibition opening ​Friday, June 14,​ with a reception ​a​t 5-7 p.m.

“John Blake: European Street Photography” features a collection of black and white photographs representing the many candid images of people Blake has photographed in the streets of European cities over a span of 10 years.

Blake says he employed his skills as a photojournalist to try to tell a story in each of his photographs. “Just about all the cities I visited have a no-motor-vehicle, pedestrian-only area. Over time I learned that these areas contained the best subject matter for my photographs,” he said.

The exhibition will run from June 14 to July 19.

The Tointon Gallery of Fine Art is located at 651 10th Ave​. and​isopen from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Admission is free.

‘Pieces of Us’

Dance Starz will perform at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, June 16, at the Union Colony Civic Center, 701 10th Ave.

Forgotten Fashion

Days Gone Bye of Colorado will present a fashion show of forgotten fashion at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 15, at the Stanley Home Museum, 415 W Wonderview Ave.
