Ten Favorite Fall Recipes - A Sprinkle of Joy (2024)

It’s October the 10th, which means it’s time to join with Erin for her ten on the 10th link up! This month the theme is 10 favorite recipes, and I decided to keep the fall theme going, because I love fall recipes! Soups, stews, chilies oh my! My crock pot works over time, and this year I’m looking to add some instant pot recipes into our rotating recipes.

Ten Favorite Fall Recipes - A Sprinkle of Joy (1)

Some of these recipes are mine, while others are ones that I have collected over the years.

One: Crock Pot Chili

An oldie but goody. Would you believe that growing up I didn’t like chili. I was a bit of a picky eater, and basically hated all things that were mildly spicy. While I still am not a fan of super-hot-burn-your-mouth-like-it’s-on-fire food, I have branched out and enjoy some thing that are little more spicy. This is one of them!

I really need to remake this and take better pictures….

Two: Nachos

There is just something about football and nachos that just go together! A while back Natalie, of At Home with Natalie, posted this nacho recipe and I knew I needed to try something similar.
When we make them, we change it up a little. We use two cans of no-bean chili, and a whole container of whipped cream cheese. After mix those two together, we spread them on top of tortilla chips that have been spread on a cookie sheet. That is then topped with tons of cheese, onions, tomatoes, avocados, and for my husband jalapenos. Bake in the oven for about 15-20 minutes at 350, and you will have some yumminess to eat! Maybe this year I will actually get this recipe on my blog.

Three: Beef Stew

Oh man, I was hesitant to even link this up, but it’s a staple in our house! This link will take you back to 2014, when I was Sundaes and Spaghetti and a somewhat new blogger. It’s crazy to think of how much growth I have made! At any rate we love beef stew. When Annabelle was a baby, I was browning the meat only to realize we didn’t have any stew mix. I called my mom in a panic since Annabelle was crying, and I was trying to get dinner ready. She came over and cuddled Annabelle while I made my own stew mix. It’s a favorite!

Four: Crock Pot Pot Roast

I have been making this one since Matt and I got married. I appadeted a recipe from a slowcooker cook book I got, and we usually make it about once a month. Whenever our grocery store has a BOGO sale on pot roasts I grab two, so that I can make this.
It’s super easy to make.
3-4 pound pot roast
1 Can cream of mushroom soup
1 envelope onion soup mix
2-3 cups chopped veggies (onions, carrots, celery, potatoes are my go to)
1 can cola

Put the roast in the slow cooker. Cover in cream of mushroom soup, and sprinkle onion soup mix over it. Top with veggies, then pour can of cola over the top. Cook on low 7-8 hours.

Five: Chicken Chili

If you are looking for a beef free chili recipe this is a great option! It really warms you up on a chilly winter day!

Six: Pumpkin Cheesecake

I made this recipe a few years ago, and it turned out so yummy! You better believe that I am going to be making this again!

Seven: Banner’s Stuffing

I have no picture or no recipe for this, I just had to mention it, since it’s the best stuffing ever. Banner (Matt’s grandma), makes a wonderful stuffing every year for Thanksgiving. Even though I have watched every step, I still can’t manage to make it like her. It’s that grandma magic I tell you.

Eight: Spiderweb Munch

I have been making this since I was in high school. The recipe I use is so old and beat up, but the one linked is the same. Chocolate and peanut butter… can we say yummy!

Nine: Mulled Apple Cider Sangria

I am so sad that I can’t partake in this yummy drink this year. It’s super tasty and easy to make!

Ten: Thanksgiving

So I know I linked Banner’s stuffing already, but who am I kidding. I love all of the Thanksgiving food!
