Pink House ATX Air BnB Review - Running in Heels (2024)

Pink House ATX Air BnB Review - Running in Heels (1)

After my Austin bachelorette party, I couldn’t wait to get back and have another fun weekend with my girlfriends! I happened to win a stay at Pink House ATX through an Instagram contest, trust me I was just as surprised as you are, and yes, people actually do win the contests! I immediately shared this with my friends and we began planning a trip back! Overall, it was a fantastic experience and property. In this post, I’m sharing my complete review of the adorable Pink House ATX Air BnB!

Austin, TX, and surrounding cities do allow Air BnBs to operate. There are so many fun and unique places to stay in and around the area, and I had seen the Pink House earlier in my searches for an Air BnB for my bachelorette. We didn’t end up staying there at the time because it was not in the city of Austin, but about 25-30 minutes outside of downtown, I’m so happy I was able to go back and stay there!

Pink House ATX Air BNB Review

Pink House ATX is, obviously, mostly pink inside and out. It appears to be a guest property off to the side of a main house but maintains an entirely separate space, so you really can’t tell, and don’t interact with the people in the home at all. Pink House ATX is one of the most unique properties I’ve stayed at. Everything was pink, from the glasses you drink to the tiles in the bathroom. You can tell there was a ton of thought put into the property and it was designed with intention.

The house itself is a tiny two-bedroom, two-bathroom home. The house sleeps 12 guests with six beds. Pink House ATX is the perfect place for a girl’s trip from just a weekend, a birthday party, or a bachelorette. The house is located close to wineries in Hill Country, breweries, and Deep Eddy Distillery. When we visited, our intention was to do a tour of Dripping Springs wineries.

Location

This is my one and only drawback of the property. If you stay at Pink House ATX, plan to remain at the house for most of your visit. It is located deep within a neighborhood, about 30 minutes from Austin and

Ubers and Lyfts will not come to pick you up, and they are very far and few between in the area in general, even when you get out to the wineries. My recommendation is if you want to do a drinking tour, you must book an official tour and plan rides to and from the house ahead of time.

There is a grocery store about ten minutes away, we stopped there for snacks and drinks once we arrived. We grabbed a pizza at a local spot and headed back to the house!

Amenities

There were so many awesome amenities at Pink House including a pool, hot tub, and fire pit which we were very excited about. There was a gorgeous screened-in porch, and tons of standard amenities like a TV, coffee maker, bed linens, etc. We used the hot tub the most, and since it was early April, the pool was still very cold. You can request for the pool to be heated for a $600 fee, we did not. We also tried to start a fire one night, but the wood was wet from rain the previous day, unfortunately.

One morning we had breakfast on the back deck and it was so nice and perfect way to start the day! At night we had drinks on the screened-in porch and enjoyed our time hanging out and chatting.

Bedrooms

One bedroom has two queen beds, and the other has two bunk beds, one double, and one single, inside. It ended up only being one friend and me on the trip (strangely and unfortunately there were a lot of last-minute emergencies). So we stayed in the room with the queen beds each taking one. The beds were comfortable and cozy and it was really fun having a sleepover!

Customer Service

Valerie and the 512 Retreat team were awesome once we booked. Transparently I had a different booking experience than average since I won the trip instead of booking through Air BnB, but they made sure we had everything we needed, got in alright, answered questions quickly, and shared all pertinent information.

Cleanliness

The house was super clean when we arrived, everything was beautifully shiny and pink. The firepit was even clear and the pool had no bugs or leaves which is honestly amazing. The full kitchen was spotless and looked rarely used.
