Learn how to transfer billing responsibility for a wireless number from one AT&T account owner to another. You can start the transfer online, and the future account owner can accept billing responsibility online.

A transfer of service occurs when someone assumes billing responsibility for someone else's mobile number. The transfer requires authorization from both the current owner and the new party responsible for the line.

You can: Transfer the billing responsibility for an existing line on your AT&T account to someone else. Request that someone transfer the billing responsibility for a line on their account to you.
